STXC # 1 - SERIES OPENING NIGHT
Our opening night is always one that sparks joy with racers young and old, seasoned or new. It’s where you get back in the groove of things or get a hang of what short track racing is all about. It’s where you get to catch up with team mates or meet new fellow racers. It’s where we welcome everyone into the fold of the OBRA bike race community and where you start your weekly summer adventure of two months of bike race fun!
STXC # 3 - School's Out! Junior & Newbie Night p/b Bike Gallery
Never raced Short Track before, but like to give it a try?... Have friends who you think should give Short Track a shot?... just come race next Monday and enjoy these great deals:
2) OBRA will waive the $5 single-day OBRA license fee for ALL new racers!
3) All adult newbie racers who register online will receive a Bike Gallery gift card with a $10 store credit!
To top it off, we will raffle off a bunch of cool prizes - courtesy of the Bike Gallery and our other sponsors - among all junior and newbie racers who race this Monday!
And, like every week, we will host FREE short track skills clinics (from 5 to 6pm), FREE kids races (at 6:00pm) for the younger ones, and FREE Dave's Killer Bread PB&J sandwiches (and ice-cooled water!) at our food station.

Come race - as a two-person team or solo - with hundreds of other mountain bike enthusiasts, for six hours straight, in a fabulous setting, on a fun and varied loop at the Mt Hood Skibowl mountain resort (in Government Camp, OR).

STXC # 5 - SUMMER CASUAL NIGHT - presented by Portland Design Works
After enjoying a mid-series break, we're getting back in the groove this Monday with our annual "Summer Casual" Race Outfit Contest (brought to you by Portland Design Works).
To make the Short Track summer party complete, our presenting sponsor Hopworks Urban Brewery will be on site serving free samples of their favorite summer ales, and longtime series sponsor Nossa Familia Coffee will bring out their coffee cargo bike to serve FREE iced coffee and iced mochas!
Leave the spandex at home and come race in your best Summer Casual race outfit. To get an idea of what we're talking about and get some inspiration for Monday, check out the photos of last year and the winners of the year before.
The most hilarious outfits (male and female) in each race heat will win some very cool PDW prizes. So get the creative juices flowing and think beyond just cut-off jeans and t-shirts.... anything goes, as long as it doesn't weird out any of the kiddie racers!
STXC # 6 - Pedal to the Metal Holeshot Night
This is the night for all you fast cats and backyard drag racers!
At our second-to-last race of the season, racers in each category will get a chance to reach for fame and glory - and some serious bragging rights - within the first minute of their race, by beating their competitors to the line at our "Pedal-to-the-Metal Holeshot".
We'll have cool prizes for the Holeshot Winner in each category, including the Cat 1 Kids!
Pro-tip: come pre-ride the course before your race to find out the exact location of the holeshot and to device your sprint-winning strategy.
STXC # 8 - Series Grand Finale & Ultra STXC Team Relay
Join us at the final installment of the 2018 Portland Short Track Series to race, cheer, socialize, and celebrate another great season of summer short track racing!
In good tradition, it will be a fun-filled evening, with he top contenders in each category battling it out for the final series points and podium spots.
After the regular races have wrapped up, we'll turn the PIR motocross track into the ultimate stage for a wild Ultra Short Track Team Relay race - featuring twenty six 10-person teams - followed by our series awards and raffle. It's our big night and always a classic!
