11/21/2011 - Thanks to everyone who came out to the farm yesterday to race, cheer or volunteer! The weather was beautiful, the mud was slick, we had a record turnout of 640 racers, and everyone seemed to have a great time on and off the course.

Also a big thanks to our title sponsor and our title sponsor Westend Bikes and all our other great sponsors. And another shout to Don Kruger and the folks at Kruger's Farm for the great venue!

Results of all races have been posted on the OBRA web site.

Next year, we'll be back with more races at Kruger's Farm. Besides the Kruger's Crossing Cyclocross Classic (Sun 11/18), the farm will again be the backdrop next year of an all-new Kruger's Farm Relay Race (Sun 5/20) and the 5th edition of the Kruger's Kermesse Farm Crit (8/26). And of course, we hope to see you all at our signature MTB race events: the Portland Short Track Series (Mondays 6/4 through 7/30), the Oregon Short Track XC State Championships (Sat 6/30) and the Six Hours of Mount Hood (Sun 7/1). Make sure to mark your calendars and start training now!

On Sunday November 20th, Portland Racing and West End Bikes are bringing you the sixth edition of the Kruger's Crossing Cyclocross Classic. This fun AND epic race - a longtime favorite with racers and spectators alike - is held at Kruger's Farm, located in the beautiful countryside of Sauvie Island (only 20 minutes from downtown Portland!).

This will NOT be your usual cross race! Besides the challenges thrown at us by the November weather gods, you can expect a wild course that will lead you along rutted farm roads, through berry fields, pastures, a barn, a bonfire, a live band and a beer garden!

Check out the updated course map and the photos and race reports of previous editions at Cyclocross Magazine, PDX Cross, ORbike to have an idea what we are talking about!

We'll have hot food at hand, catered by Kruger's Farm Market, fresh organic ales by Hopworks Urban Brewing, and FREE hot oatmeal and gourmet coffee - during the morning hours - courtesy of our sponsors Bob's Red Mill and Nossa Familia Coffee.

In good tradition, we'll lighten up a bonfire along the course to keep everyone warm and toasty, we'll have free kiddie races (followed by a kiddie treasure hunt in the corn maze!), a live band, and throughout the day we will be raffling off more than $2,000 worth of prizes, courtesy of West End Bikes and our other generous sponsors Specialized, Portland Design Works, Corsa Concepts, and Chris King.

This year will also see the return of the Doggie Dash CX World Championships, a wild cross race - sans bikes - for our four-legged friends. Lycra dog team kits are strongly encouraged!

Finally, a heads-up that everything (produce AND merchandise) in the Kruger's Farm Market store will be 20% OFF! So make sure to bring your Thanksgiving shopping list and load up on some amazing, fresh and local goodies. See you at the farm!
